For Kids

From Frames to Sunglasses, we have them covered!

Our kids are our future!

Their eyesight is our #1 priority

Good vision is an important piece of the puzzle that fosters success and confidence in school. The ability to see without hindrances will positively impact children physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Experts say that nearly 80% of what a child learns in school is presented visually. Their eyes are constantly working, looking at computer screens, interactive whiteboards, TVs, tablets, and more.

Good vision is also important for sports
The following visuals skills help build athletic ability and confidence in growing children.

  • Depth Perception

  • Clear distance

  • Wide field of vision

  • Hand-eye coordination

Make Eye Exams a Part of Your Back-to-School Routine

School-aged eyes (6 – 18 years old) are constantly changing, so it’s important to make eye exams an annual event. Optometrists will check the overall health and assess vision performance to address any potential issues and prescribe eyewear accordingly.

Sometimes things can change in between those yearly visits, so here are some things to look out for in your children’s eyesight.

  • Frequent eye rubbing or blinking

  • Headaches and eye strain

  • Sitting close to TV or computer screens

  • Holding materials close to their face

  • Losing place when reading

  • An eye turning in or out

  • Short attention span

  • Covering one eye

  • Seeing double
